Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Local storage and session storage do a similar job, so this policy treats them all the same way. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, we need your consent for anything that isn’t strictly necessary.
For how we handle personal data more widely, see our Privacy Policy.
Strictly necessary. These keep the site secure and make it work, for example by keeping you signed in to the product. They don’t need consent.
Functional. These remember choices you make, such as your cookie choice or a banner you closed. They stay in your browser, and we can’t read them unless you send us a message.
Analytics and advertising. We don’t use these today. If that changes, we will update this page and ask you first through the cookie card, and you can say no without losing anything.
We use the following:
| Name | Length | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| sovica_cookie_choice | Until you clear it | Remembers your choice on the cookie card. |
| sovica-announcement-dismissed | Until you clear it | Remembers that you closed the news bar. |
| sovica_chat | Until you clear it | Keeps your chat with us on this device. |
| sovica-academy-done-ids | Until you clear it | Remembers which Academy lessons you finished. |
| [Product session cookie] | [Length] | Keeps you signed in to the product. |
You can change your mind by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which brings the cookie card back. Browser settings also let you block or remove cookies, though the product can’t keep you signed in without its session cookie.
