Set up webhooks
Notify another system when something happens.
A webhook sends an HTTP callback to a URL you choose when something happens in your clinic, such as a booked appointment. Go to Setup and open Webhooks. This opens the APIs & Webhooks page, where you click New Webhook.
Create the webhook
Enter the URL that should receive the events.
Add a description of what the webhook is for.
Choose one object type and tick the Events you want.
Save, then use Test on the row to send a test event.
Verify what you receive
Click Reveal signing secret to get the secret. Each delivery carries a webhook-signature header: an HMAC-SHA256 of the id, timestamp and body, following the Standard Webhooks format. Check it before you trust a delivery.
A webhook is turned off after three days of failed deliveries, so make sure your endpoint stays reachable and watch for the Failing status in the list.
