Set up a barcode scanner

Connect a USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner and test that Sovica reads it, with no setup screen.

Sovica works with scanners that act like a keyboard, which is almost all of them, so there is nothing to install.

Plug the scanner into a USB port or pair it by Bluetooth.
Wait for your computer to recognise it.
Add barcodes to your products in the Barcode field, or scan into that field.
Test it by starting a count on the Inventory tab and scanning a product.

If a scan leaves odd characters, check that the scanner is set to your keyboard's language, and that it ends each scan with Enter.
