Card terminal and wallet setup guide

The whole order of steps for taking card payments in your clinic.

A card reader needs somewhere for the money to go, so setup happens in order: wallet first, reader second.

The steps

Connect a wallet. Go to Setup, open Payment processing and click Connect wallet. Finish onboarding with Stripe.
Get a reader. Use Request a terminal on the Terminals tab if you need one.
Register the reader. See Register a card terminal.
Give access. Turn on wallet access for whoever handles payouts.
Set payouts. Choose when money reaches your bank in Payout settings.

You can then choose Card Terminal at the payment step. Payments update the patient’s record straight away.
