WisePOS E reader guide
What the lights and sounds mean on your countertop reader.
Table of Contents
The WisePOS E is a countertop reader that connects over Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
Lights
Left strip: lit when charging or full. A red first light points to a charging problem, so check the cable and outlet.
Right lights flashing: the reader is in its start-up mode.
Solid red pattern: a tamper or integrity problem. Stop using it and contact support.
A flash every 2 seconds: a hardware fault. It may need replacing.
Sounds
A contactless payment gives one long, high beep. Chip and swipe payments make no sound, so watch the screen for the result.
Updates
The reader updates itself when plugged in and online. If an update seems stuck, restart it and leave it connected to power.
