How long patient links last
When links you send patients for forms and invoices stop working.

Links you send patients let them act without a password. Each kind expires after a set time, and then you need to send a new one.
Expiry times
Invoice: 30 days.
Form sent on its own: 30 days.
Document: 30 days.
Online booking or waitlist: 30 days.
Appointment links, such as confirm, cancel, reschedule or a form for that visit: 7 days after the appointment.
Patient portal sign-in code and link: 8 hours, and single use.
When a link has expired
For a form or invoice, send it again from the patient’s card. For the portal, the patient goes back to the sign-in page and requests a new code. There is no portal password to reset.
