Set up Tap to Pay
Take contactless payments on the device with no card reader.
Tap to Pay turns a supported iPhone into a card reader. The patient holds a contactless card or phone against the device.
Tap to Pay does not run on iPad, or while a Bluetooth reader is connected.
Before you start
Connect a wallet under Setup in Payment processing.
Make sure you have permission to take payments.
Use an up-to-date iPhone with a passcode set.
Take a payment
Go through Checkout on the appointment and tap Continue.
Under Payment methods, choose Tap to Pay.
Ask the patient to hold the card near the top of the device until it beeps.
If the method is missing, the device or clinic cannot use it yet. A declined card shows a message so you can try another card or method.
