Add a drug to your list
Save the medications your clinic prescribes most.
Your drug list lets prescribers add common medications quickly, with the usual dosage already filled in. Go to Setup, then Drugs under Clinical, and click Create Drug.
Fill in the details
Enter the name of the drug.
Under Dosage, add details such as Quantity, Frequency and Route. The medication format is optional.
Add directions under Notes to pharmacy. The cog beside it opens the Sig builder, which helps you put them together.
Add ingredients and classes so allergy checks can match them.
Turn on Controlled drug if it applies. Prescriptions containing one cannot be repeated.
Save it
Leave the Active switch on and save. The drug appears in your list with its dosage details, and prescribers can find it when they write a prescription.
Make changes later
Use Filter to find a drug, then choose Edit from its row menu. Turn off Active to retire a drug you no longer prescribe.
