Set up a sender address

Send email and SMS from your own name and domain.

Table of Contents

Sender addresses control who your messages appear to come from. Using your own domain also helps your email land in inboxes rather than spam. Go to Setup, then Sender Addresses.

Add a sender

  • Click Create a sender.

  • Choose Create SMS or Connect other email.

  • Enter the sender name, plus the address for email.

  • Turn on Default Sender if most messages should use it, then click Save.

Authenticate your domain

  • On Sender Addresses, click Read More in the Setup Communications banner, then Authenticate domain.

  • Enter your Domain, which is the part after the @, and click Generate DNS records.

  • Add the listed records at your domain provider.

  • Come back and click Verify.

DNS changes can take a few hours to appear. Each record shows Found once it is detected, and the domain then reads Authenticated.
